Ink Stamp Pads
There are so many different types of stamp pads nowadays. Pads range in terms of size and type of ink they are suited to (oil based or water based). Then there are 'blending' pads and 'textured' pads and 'rainbow' pads and 'chalk finish' pads, all of which give different colourful/textured results even on a simple return address stamp.
Blending pads are the next best thing since rainbow pads. Each ink pad has a raised surface containing four shades of the same color flowing from a light shade to a vibrant dark color. Use them to create fabulous blends of color with a minimal amount of work. Simply use the blending pads as you would any other stamp pad and you will get 4 gradations of the same color on your finished stamp.
Textured pads have a textured surface resulting in effects such as: weathered, aged, peeled/cracked paint, old paper... all of which add another dimension to your stamping projects.
Rainbow pads, as the name suggests, have a number of colors all on the one pad and when applied to a stamp will result in a colorful rainbow effect.
Chalk finish pads are ideal when pastel and chalk effects are desired on scrapbooking, paper arts or craft projects. Creates dramatic effects on dark backgrounds. Perfect for use on vellum as well as coated and glossy papers.
These are just a few of the different types of ink stamp pads. There are many more, and the range gets more and more complex when consider all the different types of inks that are available too.
